The coast Costa Blanca, which means “White Coast", has Europe's best climate with the most days of sunshine a year. Summer temperature is between 25 and 35º, winter temperatures between 5 and 20º.
The high mountains that separates Costa Blanca from inland, prevents the cold winds from the Atlantic Ocean in the west to reach the coast, creating mild temperatures year round.
The sunniest district is the Alicante / Torrevieja are with an average rainfall of approx. 300 mm per year. This provides room for outdoor activities all year round. From May to October, average 300 hours of sunshine per month. Winter is so mild that almond trees blossom in January / February.
Costa Blanca stretches from Dénia on the north coast of Pilar de la Horadada on the southern coast, and inland from Orihuela to the mountains Marina Alta, including Villena and Alcoi.
